Humidity Advise

I know this has been mentioned before, but I did a search and I cant seem to find it.

I need to know at what levels of humidity you use for a plant when its either in veg or flowering state.

The reason I ask is because (since it is winter here) the humidity has been really low.
Right now my two auto AK47's are flowering and I don't recall if the humidity needs
to be increased during flowering or not.

If I do need to raise the RH, by what means do you suggest that I use to raise it?

Actually the humidity during flowering needs to be lower, to prevent fungus / mold on the bud. I would say between 20% and 40% you are golden.

im a newb so i would wait for a second opinion, but from what i understand you want humidity anywhere from 50-60% untill the last two weeks of flowering then you want to drop it pretty low like mid to high 30's but you wanna take it really slow. The drop in the humidity makes the plant protect itself with extra resin causing the final product to quite frosty. you wanna keep the humidity as high as possible to reduce the salt levels in the plants tissue.

Lowering the humidity to reduce the chance of mold/fungus on the buds makes perfect sence.

Seems like I heard this before. Sounds very feasable.

I have an AccuRite digital temp/RH meter and anything under 30% RH registers as "low", which is where it's at right now. They have been flowering for just over a week with a mid January harvest date.

The only time I worry about the humidity of my plants is in the cutting and seedling stage and it is a domed environment, I assume 100%.

Other than that, I don't worry, unless it gets too humid, then I just vent more.....too humid is when I walk into the area and feel smothered.

You can get these cheap at sLowes...got a really nice digital remote temp and humidity device with Min and Max memory for like $8....I can always ck to see hot hot or cold the room got while I was gone and it's very accurate too! Runs two grows on a single AAA battery, so it uses no AC power (more for lights!)

You should never walk through a big box store without shopping for your grow...they got the coolest little gadgets for growing now!

Yeah I find it hilarious that since I've started this hobby that anywhere I go my mind always says, "could I use this to better my grow".
I fell like that guy portrayed in movies who's answer to everything is "you could put your weed in there man".

I notice myself doing the same thing! Hell I usta just go in the store, get want I came for, and get the hell out. .. but now I'm looking at everything that might be useful to my grow room. I always check out the lighting section now!:D
