Blue stems - Green stems why?
I've been noticing plants in vegging on my ebb and flow table that end up with almost blue stems, while others are nice and green and thriving... The blue stems are not growing anywhere near as green stemmed ones which grow so aggressively.
So I'm thinking that they're lacking in some nutrients. Can someone tell me what I need to add to my nutes to eliminate this?

Hey keylime,
Hard to tell what you need to add without knowing what you're adding to.;)
I have seen blue stems in veg, in a Pro-Mix filled container grow where the temps were too low at night. And it was only some plants that were effected, not all, and they where the same strain. Growth rate was slower for the blue stem plants.
You probably need to supply some more info.

Well, the veg room is 16/8, Temps 75 tops at light. and with lights out, no lower than 68. I'm running 3 part General Hydroponics... nothing else.
I have read one thread on another board with a similar problem, and there was one comment that felt it might be a lack of nitrogen.... if that's so, I really don't know...that's why I'm seeking help. Some are in hydroton, some in coco CHIPS.... but it happens in both medians. I've grown for 7 yrs.

Well it's not a temperture problem then.
3 part GH with no extra crap seems reasonable. Which BTW should provide enough nitrogen for the plant's growth.
I looked thru a horticultural textbook, and blue stems is not mentioned as a symptom of nitrogen deficency.
I'd probably like to see a slightly longer dark period, but I doubt that would cause purple stems/slow growth.
Since we are playing 20 questions, let me ask you this; are they all the same strain? What strain are they?
