Hey, recently moved from florida and obviously there's no medical marijuana there and I have a sever case of insomnia If lucky ill get 5hrs a sleep a day out of a month...thing is I started smoking cannabis and it does help me sleep..but I never went to the doctors because then I figured hey this already helps why go spend money for shotty meds thatll screw me up even more...well I just moved to bend and found out its legal here I still have severe sleep deprivation and I have no sources of getting cannabis..I work and go to school and at the end of the day I seem tired but I end up staying up till 4 to 5 o'clock in the am and then 9am I'm up and start all over :/ its irritating I'm getting chronic headaches because I'm barley sleeping and I'm starting to lose my appetite. The thing is I don't have medical records and I don't wanna see a doctor if they're gonna have to put me on all sorts of narcotics..is there any friendly mmj doctors I can speak to? Or can someone give me a step by step guide, cause I can find it on the streets but why get jail time and have that hassel. Thanks in advance.

Heya Green,
So as for the whole don't want to see a doctor thing. You kinda have to in my understanding. You can legally possess and smoke cannabis if you can show medical record that proves a chronic condition. Basically if you go to the doc about your insomnia once a month for three or four months then go to the cannabis clinic with those records they will get you a card.
So you have to visit the doctor, but you don't have to try any of the remedies he prescribes if you don't want to. Then when you go to the clinic you just say that all other treatments don't work as well.
Hope that helps. Go easy, and take care.
