and if not, what should i bring the time down to when i want to flower?
Stay where you are until you flower then do a sudden change.
ok, and when i went to flower.. still go with 12/12 right?
okay, why the hell is it on 15 1/2 hours of light? lol
its either 24/0 or 18/6 for veg. 18/6 may still no be enough if your strain has ANY autoflower traits,
and 12/12 for flower.
15 1/2 your just messing up your plants. put them on either a veg plan or flower. there is no "transition" its a plant cut it back it'll flower. you dont need to gradually do anything just cut it back. K.I.S.S. creating dumb problems for yourself.
this is my first grow. thats why. you live and you learn. this is basically a trial grow for me. i am going to put her into flowering soon and see how it goes
Asking questions like these shows that you have not done your homework...I would advise that you read all you can....I understand that it takes practice to really learn, but these simple questions have been covered many many times already....there is no reason to start a grow if you are not going to put the time in to study first
Hi Beefy,
I do not see a problem with going to an 18/6 now for a couple more weeks-or not- depends on the size plants you want "in the end". When your plants are say "half the total size" you want them to be "in the end" you should go to a 12/12 because they will stretch and pretty much double in size during the flower process. Of course the type of plants, lighting so on and so on will vary, but, this has been my experience.
I recommend not doing trials with things that you are uncertain of. Stick to things that work. (18/6 - 12/12) After you get things down you can play all you want. Just my 2 cents.
it wasnt a trial. this was my first grow so i was seeing how it would work out. i did my research but after i planted it, basically why im asking these questions.
Hey bro,
What Keenan7899, Treez81, & pipefitter said is some good stuff.
If this is your first grow, take they're advise and learn to grow first the way it needs to be to get good results.
I am only on my 3rd grow and I still keep reading all I can and applying it where needed, but I never do radical experimentations. Not yet anyway.
A word of advise to you also, when ya got a question and you post it, just make the one post. Try not to make 2 or more with the same question. Its hard sometimes for others to answer one post and then see the same one asking the same question somewhere else. Try not to double post either, it gives others a chance to see it. Not putting ya down bro, just trying to make it easier for you to be heard.
