How soon can I ask doc about Medicinal??

Hi all,

I've been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. It's been a year ++ of symptoms but I was only diagnosed a couple months ago. My doctor sent for secondary testing to be done since the first tests did not find RA. This is quite common especially for people just coming down with RA. Anyways I have an appt with her in December to go over my results. She is confident I have RA and so am I. My grandmother had it, so did hers, etc. It is a terrible disease. :(

Anyways- how soon can I talk to her about getting a medicinal license? I am in Canada. I wonder if it is too soon to ask her? I did tell her during my consult that I smoke pot to manage the pain. Is there any "waiting period" before I can apply for it?? How does it work. I do know RA is approved for medical marijuana.

I have always smoked pot, but I smoke every day now to combat the pain. Instead of taking Ibuprofen I smoke my vaporizer. I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes. I would like to be able to grow my own and perhaps buy food based THC.
