Any idea what this is? Moss or something of this sort? I've been scouring the forum all day and can't seem to find anything on this.
Use:
Scotts premium potting mix/perlite
FF Big Bloom
Molasses
pH is 6.5, right where I want it.
Note the green growth coating the perlite in the soil mix.
I'm wondering if this moss is pathogenic, beneficial, or neutral to the cannabis.
Plant looks overwatered, the green is Algae growing in the moist environment.
Let the soil dry out before you water again, cultivate the top about 1/4" of the soil with a fork, and the Algae will die off.
I agree. Looks like its swimming... The soil must dry out before watering again.

I've already removed that top layer soon after I posted, as you've suggested.
Over watering is due to the flushing I've recently done in order to correct soil pH.

Keeping an oscillating fan on 'em would help to dry-out the soil.
Don't water or feed again till the soil dries-out. (dry to about 3 or 4 inches deep) Consistently overwatered soil becomes toxic and suffocates the roots. If the soil is getting stinky and developing algae...lockout and root rot are soon to follow.
If you happen to let it dry-out too much, and the water goes straight through the soil without absorbing, add a half teaspoon of liquid dishsoap (not the anti-bacterial kind or it will kill the beneficial bacteria in the soil) to a gallon of water and add it slowly to the pot. Add a cup, let it sit. Add another cup, let it sit. Add another cup...till water trickles out of the bottom. The dishsoap acts like a surfactant. (a wetting agent) Makes the water absorb better into the peat moss. One treatment is usually enough to take you to harvest. (don't make this a habit)
I had got some scotts premium awhile back . When i was mixing in extra perlite i found moss growing in the soil. Was wondering what the effect of using the soil would be? Let me tell you i had nothing but a nightmare with the 3 that were in that soil with green moss . I now take them back and replace if i get moss in my soil. Scott's with extra perlite and peat do a great job.Just watch out for the old bags with the moss in them...
