Can I reuse Dehumidifier water????
I have a question about dehumidifier water.. Can I reuse it? I would like to set up a hose so that the water just goes directly back into my res which should take care of my daily top off. I checked the water with my hana meter and it was: pH= 7.0 ppm= 24.
So its pretty neutral and has very little dissolved solids. I check my res multiple times a day to adjust my ph so Im not too concerned with that.
Does anyone know if this is a bad idea? Are there some metals in the water or is there any way for me to test the water to find out exactly what is in it?

It will probably not be harmful running the water of the dehumidifier to put in your reservoir.... but not in the long term.
Reasons:
1. The water is neutral, that means its ph is about 7... so you would constantly have to ph that reservoir.
2. The water being produced by a dehumidifier, air conditioner etc carries some metal chemicals from the equipment that are not good for the plants. It's better to get fresh clean water and dump the waste water of the dehumidifier

Hey HydroLife,
Just took a look and it appears you got an answer and a good one from Keylime.
I would add besides the possible metals, pathogens have a tendency to be in condesate water. :(
Take care
