At a secret location in Northern California a medical marijuana grower explains how even the leaves trimmed from the marijuana buds are processed into products for sale in dispensaries.

When you've risked arrest by federal law enforcement, avoided having your crop stolen by Mexican drug cartels and even defeated the dreaded mould, you want to make sure you get every last drop of value from your plants.

That's why this grower in northern California is carefully collecting all the small leaves that an army of 'trimmers' have cut from around the marijuana plant buds.

Although it's the flowering heads that hold the most value, the surrounding leaves pick up a lot of the crystals and fine hairs from inside the buds.
