Need advice on soil and transplant
Hello all this will be my second attempt at growing. My last grow was not successful due to miracle gro organic soil burned up my seedlings to a crisp. Sadly they all died. I ordered some seeds online but dont want to repeat the same mistake twice. So im just wondering, Is it a good idea to start seedlings in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil? Or Scotts Premium potting mix (no fertilizer in it) I was thinking of starting off the seedlings in the premium mix then after 2 weeks transplant them in FFOF soil. Or do I just start them with FFOF? Any advice would be most appreciated also I forgot to mention im growing outdoors. Thanks :rasta:

FFOF can be a bit hot for seedlings. Ive planted several strains in the OF and none have died. Had a strain slow down for a few days but nothing dead.
Have also used the scotts premium to great success so im sure you will do good with either.

thx alot for the advice getthisordie.

use fox farm light warrior to start your seeds. it's got tons of perlite and no nutes, plus it's got beneficial microbes, humic acid and some worm castings.

I already have Fox Farm Ocean Forest and its pretty expensive down here in miami $25 + tax. Im thinking about starting 2 seeds on scotts premium potting soil, for 2 weeks then transplant it into FFOF. And I will start another 2 seeds with FFOF to see if anything happens. Does anyone think this is a good idea? please post your thoughts. Thanks:rastasmoke:

I'd transplant whenever needed, not set for two weeks, just me though and theres a lot of folks here who know better than I.
I just re-potted three plants into OF an like the results so far. As a exp of my own I stuck 4 ungermed seeds in Jiffy pots of OF too, only two made it and they seem iffy...
