Skunk strain that actually smells and tastes like skunk?
Back in the day we had a strain labeled "Super Skunk"
It smelled almost exactly like a skunks asshole, with a strong hint of gasoline.
I swear my forehead would sweat and I would feel high just smelling the stuff!
We mistakenly lost the strain, and have been looking for it ever since.
Got our hands on Sensei's Super Skunk, but it just wasn't the same, tasted like every other "skunk" that you see out there that smells and tastes sweet. However the description on sensei's site sounds correct.
Do you think I just ended up with a bad pheno?
It was also recommended that I try UK Hazeseekers Cheese, which while good didn't deliver enough skunk.
Someone has also recommended "Shoreline" as a good skunky strain. Anybody seen it around here?

i saw some super skunk that a grower was selling but it didn't look like the skunk indica that was around a few years ago that was green bud very skunky:(

Search craigslist for skunk or super skunk, but you won't likely find solid genetics. You can try , but it's not legit or up to date.
You might see if there are any that have been reviewed by thestrainman or kindreviews.

I have a strain that I worked with in the past that smells strong of skunk when you harvest. Growing was a dank smell and dried and burning was hazy type.
Theres so many "skunk" varieties around that you will probably find one that you like, just keep looking!

Just tried Super Skunk seeds from Amsterdam Marijuna Seeds looking for that pungent aroma. Although it's very nice, the aroma is just not there.

I love Skunk1, but it isn't skunk like we had in the 80's.
I seem to remember claims that much of the local outdoor (east coast, it was excellent!) was afgani, but back then, who knows!

no doubts there. i remember these fist sized skunk buds smelled like skunk cabbage (a large leaf plant popular in the northwest, with pungent skunk smell) and would lay waste to me after a couple of hits.

I got this stuff last year from an Indian reservation in eastern Ks. That was the closest to that old school skunk bud that i haven't had in decades, i have 11 beans that i will be popping in a month, hope at least one is female.

If so, would you be willing to share some genetics? I haven't tried growing a Skunk strain, Nor have I smelled a good one since I was in JuniorHigh. :jointsmile:
