I'm thinking about putting a grow room in my basement when my state finally gives me a card...so I'm wondering, if I have a boiler/water heater combo in my basement, will I need co2? I'm wondering how much it actually puts out... anyone have any idea what the average home heating unit throws out for co2 in ppm?
is it natural gas powered ? how many BTU's ?
first off this is a question i have asked many times and i want to tell you what i have learnded. 1st is that the vented heat vs the ammount of co2 you get is very hard to keep your tempitures down to acceptable levels.Quote:

if you co with it anyway just to try please install a carbon minoxide monitor so you dont kill yourself or family members. blue flame is co2 orange flame is monoxide witch is bad and you dont always know what one is being burned in the furnance.
i did have a thought that if i bring the vent in at the highest point in my room and vent it with a 3'x room volume fan on the oppiste side that i could control the heat and still alow the co2 to cool and settled where it will do the most good for my plants
