Is this a viable way to store bud long term (6-12 months)?
Put the plastic pharmacy cups into a vacuum seal-a-meal bag and vacuum seal it. Store in cool, dark place.
Is this going to be okay to vaporize down the road?

Seems like overkill, which is totally how I roll. I think you'll be fine.Quote:

Light and air are your biggest enemies. Seems like you've got a good handle on this.
plastic is not an oxygen barrier...air (oxygen), light & heat degrade THC...you would have to vacuum aluminum foil pouches.
clean canning jars are simpler...the KISS principle
recommend using glass canning jars over the plastic pharmacy cups. Colored glass is even better - black is best, then blue, then amber (all three are hard too find and/or expensive).
Cool, dark place is spot on
I myself use regular Ball 1/2 gallon mason canning jars (if fully cured - packed full; if not fully cured - packed about 3/4), then placed in a large plastic tote, stored in my basement. Just enjoyed some from a harvest this past February- mmm smooth & tasty!
