Cloning my favorite outdoor plants
I've got a couple outdoor plants that have very desirable traits for indoor growing. I'm unsure on the exact strain, but these were strong seedlings, and have VERY good looking buds on them. I've got a grow bible, and it covers the subject of cloning budding plants. I would be interested in taking a few cuttings off a few of my outdoor plants, and possibly making a mother out of one of those, so I can have good cloning stock for my November indoor target time.
I'm pretty much wondering if anyone here has any experience with this and can offer me any advice. Buying clones with questionable genetics from a club for $8-$20 each is NOT an option. For some reason, an ounce of great indoor can be found for $250 or less, but no one has good clones for less than $12 around here. Cheap, crappy looking clones can be had for $8, but I'm done with those. In short, I'm interested in techniques that will ensure rapid, strong growth, and eventually great healthy plants.
Plants are getting close to being done(about 10-14 days) so time is a factor. That's also one of the reasons why I want to keep this strain alive inside. It started budding in late July, and is almost completely done.
Thanks in advance.

Hey stormin94,
It's difficult to take cuttings for clones so late in flower. You might be better served cutting the buds and trying to reveg the plant indoors, and that's your mom for lots of cuttings. It does take alot of time to reveg, but it is worth the effort, if you want to keep that strain going into the future.
Check out some of the reveg threads to get a better idea on how to do that.
Good luck and good growing.
