FREAKING.OUT.

so I just landed a sweet job with a company that's notorious for hair testing for drugs. the test will be no sooner than a week from tomorrow (thursday, sept 23). i rarely smoke but took a couple hits off a bowl last saturday night (4 days ago/at least 12 days prior to future drug test), a bong hit a week ago (or at least 15 days prior to future drug test), and a hit off a bowl the sunday night before that (10 days ago/at least 18 days prior to drug test). that's pretty much the gist of how much i've partaken in the past month.

i've been talking to friends about how to pass a drug test but apparently there's only hope if it's a urine test and this will most definitely be a hair test. am i doomed to fail? is there anything i can do?

i HAVE to get this job and my parents will kill me if they find out i failed this test. which they would definitely find out.

welll my friend I just had the same thing and smoke about the same as you. People at my current job said im doomed but they really didnt know what they were talking about cause a couple said those test go back years which is false.

Now Jerry wrote a good thread on how to pass it which i did most of what he said. I bleeched / dyed my hair twice and used a swimmers shampo to get rid of toxins in hair. Now if it worked I dont know cause I only took the test a few hours ago. I dont smoke alot but do on occasion like yourself.

Your right on point using Jerry G's method. It's not 100% effective but is a persons only chance of passing a hair test in a short period of time. If you followed his method to the "T" you should have about an 85% chance of passing. Be sure to let us know your results.

Man, I'm also about to start a new job/school for truck driving, have to pass a D.O.T. test next week. The company web site says they use Hair focile testing that goes back 12 months, but from what I read thats probably bullshit.
ANYWAY...Question is this...Does the D.O.T accept hair testing or only urine?...All I can find in rules/regs is about urine..............I think I got the unine covered,...hair is scary. ;->

The reason why the DOT regs cover urine is because only urine is tested on a DOT regulated U/A. However, an employer can opt for a hair test as a "non-DOT collection". In this case, the employer cannot use the DOT CCF.

Thanks, Burnt...I pretty much thought that was the way it would have to be done, ..You agree about the 12mnth back-check on hair being probably a scare tactic?...I read that wld require 3 tests and hair over several inches long, I got a buzz cut today, lol, left enough to test, barely...test is in 3 days, i've only slipped up and smoked once in about 5-6 weeks, ..cross my fingers......

Sounds like a bunch of scare tactics. Hair tests typically go back 90 days (30 days per 1/2 inch of hair). After 90 days, the tests reliability becomes a question mark.

Man. They got me. I cut my hair too short, and they took it from my chest hair, which after 38 yrs of growing is still scant and they were barely able to get enough of it that was long enough. But they busted me on THC in my chest hairs. Seems like, as I have never cut/shaved/removed those hairs, lol, they would hold alot of THC. I did pass the DOT urine test, and can re-apply with the same company in 90 days. I won't though. Fuck 'em. Anybody(company) that is that parionoid that it's employee's may once have smoked a little weed, I don't really want to work for.......
