Please Help me to understan how all this works
As it sits now Marijuana is a Scheduled I drug right in there with a host of other wonderful items.
Lets assume that by some miraculous pharmacological event that ??Medical Marijuana? delivers medical results that just cannot be obtained through any other means. Fine. I have no issue with that if that is the case. Then I must ask. Why is THC not extracted and manufactured in tablet form by a FDA licensed Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility just like EVERY OTHER PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT in the US and sold through a pharmacy.

Because it is a schedule 1 drug, no one (in the US) can do the extraction or marketing. In Europe various countries do allow assorted methods of extraction prodicing pills. (I believe I just read an article from Germany about that). Since it's relatively easy to "grow your own", that's what happens. (see prohibition)
