Metabolism, insulin and THC testing

G'day,

Does anyone out there know anything about changing the way your body uses fat as a way to test clear?

I'm a graduate chemist with a background in biochemistry and I managed to pass a piss test 1 week after smoking by eating heaps before the test. My rationale was that if the THC is stored in your fat, cover the fat with more, clean fat. This clean fat will be "in equilibrium" - in contact with the bloodstream rather than the smoky fat and won't be releasing any THC.

I've also been thinking about insulin and the way the body stores and uses food. When you eat food, your pancreas pick up on the fact and starts releasing insulin, which is the medium for a message to all the cells in your body that, "Food! Store it! Stop breaking down glycogen, fat and proteins!".

When you're between meals (when all the food's been stored), the hormone glucagon is released, which tells the body, "Food's run out! Start breaking down energy stores! Make glucose at all costs!" because without it, the body is screwed - hence diabetes is a bad thing (that's when insulin doesn't work or the pancreas can't make it).

OK. Biochem lesson over. My reckoning is that if you do the test while you're eating - chow down on a chocolate bar while you're in the waiting room, or just before you go in, then so long as you've taken a few days off the weed to clear your system, and have been eating like a foodmaster, you may be in the clear.

I've got a test again in a week and have had a week off the weed so far, so I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Also, if there are any chem nerds out there who've got information on gas chromatography and THC retention times, I'd be most pleased to make your acquaintance.
