soil transplant. need everyones imput
my plants are about a month into veg. and i want to transplant them to a better soil. the soil i have now gets too compact and holds water for way too long. does not drain well enough. one of my plants actually died from root damage. rip.
what would you guys recommend for a good soil that drains well and has a great npk ratio?

any good quality potting soil with 20% perlite mixed in. I recommend 3 or 5 gallon pots with plenty of drain holes. I use MG moisture control soil...cheap, simple to find.

Someone I know uses Fox Farms Ocean Forrest and puts 1 cup perlite to every 4 cups of soil. It works well for him/her.
