I think portable vapes (using butane) may be less healthy
With an electric vape, you're creating heat with no inhaled byproducts. So vapes that plug into the wall, and the portable ones that use batteries, seem more healthy than ones that utilize butane to create the heat.
Butane, at best, has you inhaling carbon dioxide. Partially incomplete combustion has you inhaling butane (which is really really bad for you) and carbon monoxide, and carbon soot.
This is all academic, but if the point of a vaporizer is to lessen the toxic inhalants present when scorching the herb with a lighter, it seems that using a butane-sourced vape only takes you halfway there.
Thoughts?

Well, it makes sense. I'm looking for a good portable vape and I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay away from butane.

That all depends on what sort of heat source you are using.
Bic style lighter will give you flint dust and soot from the unburned butane
Elec lighters are a better choice as you get no flint dust, but the flame is still not hot enough to completely burn all of the butane.
Torches/micro torch is my preferred method when I am using my VG (and necessary when I am using my SV)
Plus I like the much quicker heat up time.
