HELP - Withering Spots (Pics Included)

Hello, helping a friend who's just got his license,

Over the past day I've noticed the following developments on a young plant recently purchased from a dispensary: medium to small brownish spots that have turned into more serious looking yellow withering spots.

Will be filling out the troubleshooting form and posting/editing it into this, but for now I hope the pics can clue you into the problem.
