Super Slime, Am I Doomed?

Well i was checking on the roots today and noticed they were getting a little brown, then i noticed all the slime on the drip supply tubes:( The water temp hangs between 68 abd 73 using frozen bottles. I am using FF growbig, Liquid Karma, superthrive and aqua sheild. also my ppm seems to always stay the same, no decrease what so ever. Nute lock? I am doing a water/tub change tommorow(just did one6 days ago), should i flush with reg phd water for a while. Id like to get the pump out but the 2 plants on the right do not have roots like the rest so im keepin the drippers on them until they get longer. would peroxide help? should i raise the water to the bottom of the pots? this current res has 940 ppm (270 tap) any help is greatly appreciated

Could it be the superthrive?

I usually keep a 5 gallon jug of Ph'd water and some bubble stones gong to help the chlorine evap out. It also helps make it oxygenated if that even matters for soil plants.

Anyway, once I added superthrive and in the next few days I found all this white slimy stuff on the hoses and air stones. It looked something between snot and a big jizz load of cum. I guessed it "came" from superthive and the millions of molecules of worlds.

Please update on what you find.

You know i did just add a boost of st yesterday and noticed all the slime today so it very well could be the st ,some swear by it some dont? this is my first attempt, if it fails i will prob just go soil. feeling a little discouraged but learn learn learn right.

I have another theory....

Could it be the rabid rooter plugs introduced rabies and that's why you're getting slime and foaming at the mouth like a mad dog? It's just a theory at this point. :tin foil hat:

OK so i changed the rez to straight ph water with h202 1/4tsp pg, and the roots r back to a nice white color :) On the down side i noticed one of the girls had red spots or blotches on it:(, things also seem slow for 23 days compared to others i have seen. Any insight or tips from anyone would make my day.

Unless you post very basic questions ( such as How do I water) you probably won't get any answer. Also, people love to post back to argue with eachother if they think you are wrong. Searching is tough too, do you search slime, snot, white stuff, skeet, or what?

The first thing I do is search out the problem, so yes I did search all that and everything one finds is could be, could be, could be, so thats why I am asking because im thinking it "COULD BE" a nutrient problem but just posting to see what anyone else thinks it "COULD BE" :)

Just a note, I didn't mean toward you and, for me, it's difficult to search if you don't know what this mysterious slime is called!

What I meant was people run to the computer for an argument. Wild horses can't keep them from the keys.... But when someone else has an unusual question for help, well then everyone seems to put lots of thought, hesitation, and restraint while posting. I guess it's human nature but I call it "uncommon courtesy".

Hey ECOBANE, I am some what new at the growing thing here. So do not take my advice very serious. You should make sure that your res. is 120% light proof. The blue walmart tote is not very light proof. I add a tsp of 3% walmart or walgreens brand h202 per gallon 2 days after I change out my water it helps keep the slime or whatever at bay. I had a friend that had slime, clear or white will usually clear up with the h202 you get at the hydro store. If the slime is a grayish brown color you are pretty much s.o.l. my friend ended up using a tsp of bleach per gallon to clear up the grayish brown color slime. Make sure you keep your lid closed as much as possible and clean out the res really really good between water changes.
I tried the 6 way manifold at first then trashed it and switched to an air pump and bubble stones and have been working out very well. But if your set up is working then keep up the good grow.
