air conditioning question
I live in a warm climate in the south and so I am dealing with some heat issues. I am growing in a cabinet in a room that has air conditioning. Is there any issues with just pumping the cold air into my cabinet. I tried it the other day and I was able to get the temp down around 80 with my lights on.
I am hoping this is okay.
thanks

that should work just fine..will add some more co2 to the room also, and usually ac blows drier air so your humidity should drop some also..80 is about as high as you want to be.

Thanks that is great. I will look into the co2 issue.

you would do better SUCKING the hot air out.add some sort of exhaust fan. 75- 80 is ideal for most varieties. be sure to locate your temp probe/thermometer OUT of direct light.

I tried that first and could not get the temp down. That is why I thought about the AC. I tried the booster fan as an exhaust and some PC cooling fans as well. Neither worked very well at pulling the cooler air in.

your cab will need an intake vent at least 2x the size of your exhaust hole.lightproof for flowering.

I have had good luck so far with piping A/C in down low and using an air cooled light fixture to exhaust the heat up high. It gets 100 + deg in my garage and have been able to keep my temps in the enclosure to around 65deg with lights off to about 75 with them on. I just use a 12,00btu window A/C and a 440cfm fan pulling through my light and ducted out of room. Hope this helps. :rasta:
