To Pee or Free

I looked at the sensiblewashington site this morning and in a sidebar events notice thing, there is a link to ways to reduce the deficit in the state. Number one is a requirement for people getting state benefits (the disabled primarily) being required to take a piss test to get benefits. In second place is the legalization of marijuana.

The legalization issue is a no brainer, but the piss test for benefits in outrageous. When are our legislators or those who come up with this discriminatory bullshit going to agree to be required to pass a piss test once a month while they are in elected or appointed government office? They are the greatest recipients of state benefits along with the average state employee averaging $25.00 an hour or better. And they want to piss test those who get a measly $339 or less from the state. The hypocrisy is becoming unbearable don't you think? :twocents:

As usual it just forces tax payers to cheat about something thats none of the governments business to begin with. Legislaturers are criiks so I guess they figure tax payers should be too.
