So in reality most wont keep their current insurance, the mandate is, as was stated all along, another tax.... and it places new taxes on Gold....in a health bill of all places.

That guy Scott seemed like a douche, but I mean then again, he is Vice President. He deliberately says buying this gold right now, is a lose of money, its only a good investment in the long run, so why not go and get bonds? Seems the same, your only gaining money if you want to get rid of a bunch for awhile.

The truth is, there's going to have to be alot more new taxes to pay for this new healthcare program. It either that or our debt is just going to keep getting larger till its physically impossible to pay it off. Or maybe Obama is smarter than we thought and he's just going to get all these new programs going and default on the debt.

Obama should be eying BP! I would have no problem if we were to put that company (US subsidiary) into receivership until all expenses are settled and all compensation paid. Then they can have their company back. They destroyed one of the most productive fishing grounds on earth. They brought death and destruction to our door. I have no problem taxing the the top 1% of income earners disproportionately. Hell, they are the only ones who benefited from the past 10 years! More importantly, the top 1% of income earners now control 42% of the financial wealth in this country. The bottom 80% of our population only controls 7% of the financial wealth. Who else are you going to tax? If it were up to me I would widen the net to tax the top 10% of income earners at progressively higher rates.Quote:
