Thinking about NM

Hello,

First of all I would like to introduce myself to other NMer's. I was born and raised in NM but moved up here to Colorado a couple of years ago to enter their MMJ scene. Its has been great! I have met and helped lots of people that I am honored to called friends now instead of patients. With that being said my delivery service became illegal on the 1st. So now I am thinking if maybe I could do more good in NM.

Can you guys help me with some questions that I have?

• My questions about this are when you find out about producers how do you go about getting medication from them? Do they have small store fronts, mail medicine, deliver it to your house, meet in a parking lot, go to their house...?
  
  Does it state any where what exactly a mature plant is in New Mexico? Some people in CO claim its as soon as flower sites show up, others say not until trics are amber, and others say as soon as flowering is initiated. Probably up for debate in NM as well.

In New Mexico there are no store fronts. When a person is approved by the state they are sent producer's contact info along with the MMJ card. All medicine is delivered as one may not go to a dispensary. This is after one registers w/provducers and the info is verified through the state dept. of health. In the metro area of Albuquerque/Santa Fe home delivery is possible. I do not live in this area so I travel up to ABQ and meet up with the producer's courier,locations vary.

I don't know enough about what is considered a mature plant so I'm sorry that I can't give any info.

I can tell you for a fact that becoming a provider/producer is ridiculously hard to do in NM. Currently we have five providers serving roughly 1,900 active patients. Their plant limit is 95 mature so I'm sure you can see how many more are needed. Six operations have recently been approved and are located in various counties. There are dozens more waiting for approval and I have no real idea as to why it takes so long. I don't mean to discourage you but that is just how it is here now. NM is very restricted,as anybody on here can tell you. Patient wise,if you meet the requirements you are enrolled in the program rather smoothly but the patient/provider ratio sinks in real quick.

I hope the Colorado summer isn't anymore unpredictable than usual. Our weather has been weird to say the least this year. Expect that Hatch Chile a bit later than last year(s).:)

How much revenue do you think those producers generate? Is it enough to cover all their expenses, etc? Im curious.

Blackhash...good points. Interesting times indeed. I think that patients will buy from producers. They wont grow themselves. Especially as the laws change.

I would love to open up a production business....if i wasnt as paranoid about the state or feds shutting me down.

I think if you had the right "teeam" put together you could really get things running well.

I think many people will buy from producers,but I think a lot more people than you think will grow for themselves.
