Overheating

Hi,

I changed from floresents to high density sodium 400w bulb. The first hour I managed to damage one of the plants, so I highered the bulb right up so the heat won't damage the plants further. I am pretty sure they are getting enough light, but will the damaged plant repair iteslf? The leaves curled up and then became very limp. This happened the whole way down the plant but not all leaves were damaged. The other plant was fine, but the tip of one leaf was burnt and became very brittle. I regulated the temprature in the grow area to be 32°C, this is the best I can do. Growing in a wardrobe so I have little room for altercations. Cannot cut a hole in it etc etc.

First time grower too. Any suggestions?

Just wondering will the damaged plant recover? Most of the foliage seems to be fine, just the top is damaged it seems. Thanks :)

Yes, this is an amazing plant and will recover. It will slow the growth and cause branching out instead of one main stalk. Breathe easy.

Trying my best to regulate temprature. It's not easy.

I have the grow room now at a stable 31°C, there was 2 PC's in the room also on almost all day. This brought up the room temprature a considerable amount.

I am keeping the window open and the wardrobe doors. Only a few weeks to go now anyway :)

Ok, I have some pictures you might want to see. Can you let me know your opinions on them? Any suggestions or further advice? You can see the two plants I have. One is quite healthy and the other one suffered some burns. This is the one I am worried about, it's the bigger of the two plants.

The Light is on 12 hours a day. When using the flouresents it was on 12 hours a day too. I know I should have put them on for longer when they are younger, I know for next time :)

You've got a hell of a lot lot longer than a few weeks left till they're finished.

That isn't heat burn, it's nutrient burn. Never leave nutrient solution on the leaves. Especially with an HID light pushing the envelope.

Old leaves are old news. Keep an eye on new growth, as the old damage will never 'heal'. Leave the leaves alone. Don't remove the damaged leaves, the plant isn't done with 'em yet.

Thanks for the advice, but it's 100% not nuitrient burn as I haven't used any nuitrients. Both plants have the exact same soil. It's 100% burn damage.

I haven't touched the leaves and I have noticed some new growth, not a lot though.

According to the details of the plant, there's only 3 weeks left...
