Puzzled 1st timer
Hi everyone,
trawled through a few of these pages but can't seem to find the same symptoms....so here's my question:
Growing my first ever plant (white widow) in a bubble pot (DWC). Been in the pot in clay balls for 2 weeks now, approx. 2 inches tall and is dark green & healthy looking. However the cotyledons and the 2 pairs of true leaves are pointing straight up and not spreading out.
Nutrient is a proprietory one from a garden centre mixed correctly, water is clean, and am limited by space to using 3x20w cfl's. (though could double this quite easily)
Any ideas you chaps?
Thanks

I experience the same thing under ??artificial? low light. However, with the same plant under sunlight?no problem at all. Your present light is quite low?..double it and you could well experience the same thing?..only to a lesser extent.
With the hydroton (clay balls) you could need Ph correction as they need to be Ph corrected before you start. Check your Ph before proceeding.
Hope that helps,
