Mushrooms?
Checked on the babies this morning and had mushrooms around 3 of the 5 plants. Last night, at 9 pm, they weren't there. They were about 3 inches tall with white stems that had black tops (not really caps) that were like black slime/paint. These plants havent been watered in 3 days and aree due for a 2.5 gallon drip tonight so I dont think they were over watered. Any ideas? Are shrooms bad?
Thanks!

Sauted in a little garlic and butter, they should be yummy if they're not death caps. :-)
Seriously, do you have a cheap moisture probe? You can get one at orchard or most hardware stores and it will help you decide when to water. I need to get one too as I have signs of overwatering.
I'm getting past being a cheapskate as it costs more in the end.

besides overwatering being the main factor, make sure that your temp stays steady (between 68*-78*) and doesnt drop below the mid 60s then raise up high, that variation isnt good. also make sure your humidity is constant and not able to spike up real high(need good air ventalation). i had lil mushrooms on my first grow, i realized it was un-steady conditions with overwatering. hope this helps you:thumbsup:

Do not eat or ingest any of those mushrooms or anything at all that has touched them. Black caps is a sign of poison, those are probably very bad for you. You probably have a good colony in there, the mycelium has to establish before producing fungus.
