I am wondering how many of you out there would be interested in THC/CBD testing of your product? Would it help your dispensary or grow if you could produce documentation of the particular strain's potency? It seems it would help in dosing and which strains would be most beneficial to patients. Please share your opinion on this service and if you would find it useful.

I believe it helps Greatly. Sometimes you get patients who actually know their meds. Lets say a guy has been smoking a very long time, he is a vet and says Hey I need somthing 20%THC or higher with a low CBD. You suggest him white widow because you dont know any of your THC levels but WW gets you plenty high. Guy comes back next week says WW sucked, well thats because WW is only 16.6%THC and even though the CBD is .17% which makes it hit hard, it fails to compare to the 24% THC LSD Bud you had right next to it. Would have never happened if you had your strains tested and knew what your giving out before you do it.

yea... it definitely would help to now the cannabinoid profile. I think a common misconception is that THC % and potency go hand in hand. All it tells you is that BY WEIGHT 20% of ALL cannibinoids found were THC. That is a ratio but it DOES NOT tell you how much THC is there. A strain like white widow has a low THC % but is smothered in trichomes so it's actually a potent strain. A strain could be 20% THC but have very few trichomes per gram of bud and another strain could be 10% THC and loaded with trichomes. THC/CBD % can let you know the quality of the high and the medicine you're getting because low THC/high CBD for example lets you know it may be good for pain.. but it by no means tells you "how much" THC is actually there
