I am using an Ebb and flow system I have twelve plants connected currently in veg mode. I am using a 1000 wat metal halide daylight bulb. and the pH is 5.9 and the EC is 1.7. I am using two large fans and the light is being vented outside. I am using a CO2 tank and I think the level is below 2000PPM and above 1000PPM. I also have fresh air coming in most days.
My problem is that a few of the plants have leaves that are canoeing and I dont know why. check out the pics for a better look
What's your water temp and tell us more about co2 ?
CO2 should be used at a temp of around 90 degrees to work well. It must fill the room to about 1500 and then the whole room flushed with fresh air every 4 hours. Then repeat.
When doing hydro the biggest problem is keeping your water temps down to near 70 degrees.
To me it looks like not enough moving air in your room and the light is almost burning them from heat.
If this room is in a house where people live please be very carefull with co2. It is heavier than air and can flood a whole house and kill everyone inside.
Co2 really only helps take a week off of your harvest time. If you just need a trickle to get co2 levels back to a little better than normal because you don't have a good source of air then it's the stuff.
the water temps are at 72 degrees it might go up some during the flood cycle due to the water pump in the reservoir.
the air temp is usually around 77 as long as the blower is on to vent the heat from the light.
I have the CO2 on for 10 hours. It is on a timer. 2.5 hours to start then 15 min. on 15 min off cycle for the rest of the time and the blower is on when the co2 is off 15on/15off, (i leave it completely off for the 2.5 hours). Last time it was checked the PPM was around 1300.
the light is 19in away from the tops of the tallest plants
I have two large fans on opposite sides that rotate plus a in-vent that pumps in air from the outside plus the air-conditioning vent.
Not enough oxygen, too much CO2.
There you go. Your temps need to come up to the 90's for the co2 to work like you want it. But then keeping you rez temp down is a problem.Quote:

After all it doesn't make your buds any better or bigger just lets you finish one week early.
