Opiate addiction recovery meetings @ any dispensaries???

OK, pretty self-explanatory....

I remember seeing some ads for these when I first started hitting dispensaries. Anyway, if anyone is clued into a good group or shop that has meetings let me know....

sorry I can't answer your question, but I think there's some interesting movement in this area with regards to cannabis. A friend went through opiate recovery recently, and they were fine with his cannabis use - they were concerned only with opiates and alcohol.

It was a check-yourself-in sorta place, not just meetings. I believe he's been on the good road for six months now. just smoken.

couple of nice books written specifically for doing 12 steps from a Buddhist practice perspective I read and liked some years back. Googling the two gets you there and elsewhere. Personally, I found my sitting practice in quiet made all the yak yak yak in meetings all the more obviously counter-productive for me ...

i tend to do things on my own. but a little support now and then couldn't hurt.

I may be totally wrong about this, but I thought the new legislation prohibited dispensaries from being within 1000 feet of any sort of addiction recovery program meeting spaces.

If 1284 makes it such that it would be illegal for a dispensary to host an addiction meeting...

STATE AND LOCAL LICENSING

12-43.3-308. Restrictions for applications for new licenses.
(1) THE STATE OR A LOCAL LICENSING AUTHORITY SHALL NOT RECEIVE OR
ACT UPON AN APPLICATION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A STATE OR LOCAL LICENSE
PURSUANT TO THIS ARTICLE:

(d) (I) IF THE BUILDING IN WHICH MEDICAL MARIJUANA IS TO BE SOLD
IS LOCATED WITHIN ONE THOUSAND FEET OF A SCHOOL, AN ALCOHOL OR
DRUG TREATMENT FACILITY, OR THE PRINCIPAL CAMPUS OF A COLLEGE,
UNIVERSITY, OR SEMINARY, OR A RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARE FACILITY.
