Advice Please!

Hey everyone,

30 years old, 5'9", 180 pounds, fairly overweight and don't have the greatest metabolism. Have been smoking for about 10 years, in the past 3 years usually about an 1/8th of really potent stuff a week.

Got a very important test coming up in 4 days, have been absolutely clean for 3 weeeks. Took a home test yesturday and came back as "preliminary-send to lab" (which I assume is a fail?).

Will definitely do the dilution method, but also have a Strip drink that I got from GNC.

Question: Will the Strip drink on top of the dilution method hurt my chances of passing the test at all? I don't care if Strip doesn't do anything, but I just don't want to fail because of it.

If you consume both your taking the chance of having a non negative dilute or over diluted sample. I would save yourself some money and take the Strip back. The dilution method will be sufficient and won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Just a follow up question if anyone cares to answer.

1. Would quitting smoking cigarettes help at all? By boosting metabolism perhaps?

2. Would taking a laxative help at all?

Just called the lab and got my results back from the home test. Tested positive, the THC levels were 241 (ng/ml I assume?). Have been clean for 26 days now and was able to extend my test for another week, so by the time I take it, I will be exactly 1 month clean. What do you guys think my chances are if I continue with the dilution method?

I took the home test 5 days ago, used first void of the day and didn't dilute at all before it.

You can shed some THCA through your colon by adding a high fiber diet(Metamucil) to your regiment. Don't forget to load creatine 2-3 days before your test. You can do this by taking the supplement or upping your red meat intake.

No, the exact opposite. Smoking cigarettes increases your metabolism. While I suggest quitting, now is not the time to do it.

If you are having a hard time shitting yes. To pass a urine screen, no. Fiber, not laxatives.

Hey everyone. So ummmm. That was weird. Went to fill out some paperwork at the place I'm applying to and they gave me a sheet of paper on which they circled the type of pre-empoyment test I was supposed to get. Then the guy gave me the sheet, along with directions to the medical facility and said that I will be getting a physical and a drug test.

So I go to the medical place, nicely diluted and with my bladder about to burst. The nurse calls me in and says first I'll have to pee in the cup. Nothing unusual, but then....she doesn't ask me to empty my pockets, doesn't put any blue water in the toilet, just sends me in with the cup. I piss in the cup, come out and tell her that I didn't flush the toilet, as there was a sign on the wall saying not to do it. She answers that its doesn't matter and the sign is only for people who take drug tests!

So I'm thinking she still might be messing with me. She doesn't check the temp of the piss, just dips a little strip with little colored squares on it, in the cup and takes it out 5 seconds later. Starts checking off things on her list. Then smiles and says everything is good. I'm very puzzled at this point and ask her what this piss test was for. She says its to check for sugar, diabetes and stuff like that. Then I go through with the rest of the standard physical and go home.

So what a hell? Did my prospective employer mess up and order the wrong test? Did the people at the clinic mess up? Would the nurse lie to me? Does the procedure I described sound like it even could've been a drug test? I have no idea. This is a fairly low level clerical job (which nevertheless matters to me) and sheet specifying which pre-empoyment test that I was supposed to get had like 10 options on it, the one that I had to do was called a "pre-employment test - non safety" - could that explain it? Has this ever happened to anyone? I'm scared they might call me back and say that they messed up and I have to come back for another screening. Not going to burn until I get the results back (I already got the job with a pre-condition that I pass the test), but still a little paranoid. Don't know wether to be happy or continue on with the paranoia.

Argghhh....just had to vent guys, I really got no one else to confide in this.

I know exactly what you mean dude. I worked for UPS once and had to take a physical/urine screen. I wasn't prepared and was thinking the same you were. Turns out they only drug test you if you get into an accident or get injured on the job.
