Plants are "flopping over"
Hey,
My plants are around 7 or 8 inches tall and are 3 weeks old. They have the characteristic leaves, but the stems are very skinny and they are flopping over because they are top heavy. Is there sometime I could do to "fatten them up." I have this stuff called Manure Tea, which is basically Manure dissolved into water. If i started watering them with this and leaving them outside in the sun for more time each day would that help?
Sorry for the beginner questions... :D

Nutritents will help and if you put a fan on the plant the stem will become stiffer. Start of on low settings then get higher and she'll toughen up.

They are outdoors though, should I just hook up a fan on an extension cord, or bring them inside at night and hook up the fan. Also, what kind of nutrients works the best?

That was just precious!

Hahaha, now that I read it again!
I brought them inside for the night and set up a fan on low, just so they are shaking a little from the wind. What about nutrients though, will just normal cow manure work? Just like 20% manure and 80% normal soil, once i transplant them into bigger pots.

Isn't there a nutrient that helps the plant retain water pressure?
I found this on plant problems
Marijuana Plants Problems - Yellow Leaves, brown spots, nutrient shortage etc.
Potassium is involved in maintaining the water status of the plant and the tugor pressure of it's cells and the opening and closing of the stomata. Potassium is required in the accumulation and translocation of carbohydrates. Lack of potassium will reduce yield and quality.
Older leaves are initially chlorotic but soon develop dark necrotic lesions (dead tissue). First apparent on the tips and margins of the leaves. Stem and branches may become weak and easily broken, the plant may also stretch. The plant will become susceptible to disease and toxicity. In addition to appearing to look like iron deficiency, the tips of the leaves curl and the edges burn and die.
Potassium - Too much sodium (Na) displaces K, causing a K deficiency. Sources of high salinity are: baking soda (sodium bicarbonate "pH-up"), too much manure, and the use of water-softening filters (which should not be used). If the problem is Na, flush the soil. K can get locked up from too much Ca or ammonium nitrogen, and possibly cold weather.

having a fan blow on them will make them stronger, just enough to make the leaves wiggle....not too hard. there are alot of different nutes out there. If you are vegging you want to make sure to get something for that stage and use a budding additive when it comes time to flower.
If you plant is having a hard time standing up, it may be from underwatering or you may need help with root growth. You can stake the plant with a bamboo post or something that will be a sturdy crutch for your plant to rely on! good luck!
If you have pics of the plants, post them...it will be alot easier to know what is going on if we can see it.

I'll post pics tomorrow, they are doing good though, and the fan seems to be working. They enjoyed a nice warm day in the sun today and straightened out some, so they are no longer flopping. One of them the leaves are shriviling a little and on another the tips of the leaves are turning brown. I will post pictures tomorrow though, so you guys can tell me exactly whats wrong. I just used a little Cow Manure, and havent given them anything else except water, so maybe thats the problem.
I dunno though, any suggests are welcomed. Pics to come!
Cheers guys, :rastasmoke:

To prevent skinny stem fall overs ... I plant them in small flower pot when they are seedlings ... I only fill them half way up with soil ... so when they start showing top heavyness, I fill the rest of the flower pot with soil ... covering up half of the stem ... the stem will soon grow roots out of the stem I covered up ... its anchored better and has a better root ball thats deeper.
If you start with a full flower pot, then the root ball with stay close to the surface ... and be prone to top heavyness with poor anchoring ... leaning plants mean there is some roots ripping

its called Silica... its supposed to make up like 10% of the plant it keeps it rigid... there must not be any in your soil
