Hair follicle test question...

Hello all,

I am worried that I will have to undergo a hair follicle test when I start my job in the defense contracting industry next month. I read the sticky article and am going to do Jerry G's method but hoped to get some clarification on one thing...

I was thinking of shaving my head, but would it make any sense to do it now? or does the drug in my system (last smoked about a month ago) still get produced into the hair when it grows? I didn't know if shaving it now would basically give me a clean slate as long as I don't endulge anymore, or if the drugs in my system would still show up when new hair is being produced...

THCA stops depositing into the hair 2-3 days after your last smoking session, so shaving it would give you a clean slate. However, most testers look for atleast 3/4 of an inch to test, so unless you have a month and a half to grow your hair back out, your screwed.

How long has it been since you last smoked?

it's been about a month and I have a month until the test would be happening.

Average human hair growth is around 1\2 inch per month, so you would have about a 1\2 inch of clean hair. I would cut it down to a 1\2 inch in length and don't cut it again until after test time. This should leave you with an inch of clean hair to test.

2 and a half weeks until *possible* test date, 33 days since last smoke (frequent user), hair cut the other day down to 1/2 inch, shaved my ENTIRE body. My hair grows fairly fast and I also bought some of that Mane and Tail shampoo that supposively makes it grow faster. Thoughts?
