Buds not swelling up gaps.
I have 2 plants, both are 56 days old. only 20 percent or less of buds have red hairs.
I believe it has about 2 to 4 weeks to finish. Buds are swelling more and more everyday, but they have yet to swell into gaps of main cola on the taller ones, but the shorter one has swelled nicely...just not as i've seen on other grows.
not the best genetics, just a bagseed grow. but it's a very badass couple of plants...ones a foot and 8 inches, the others a foot. both have stopped stretching....
should I worry?, or do you think the buds will continue to swell in the gaps?
and if not, what is the cause of it.

The hairs (pistils) are not an indicator of maturity, the trichomes are. You'll at least want a 5x magnifying glass. Some folks get a 100x pocket microscope from Radio Shack. (under $20) Do a search here on CanCom for trichomes.

Likely a slow finishing sativa blend. Tiz one of the problems with bagseed. You go at it blind.

Best to fill-in the troubleshooting form as best you can. Their size aren't where a plant 7 weeks into flower should be.

IDK. Worrying helps for some, perhaps give it a try...?
But I wouldn't start worrying till we see what's up. Copy-n-paste the troubleshooting form here, and fill-in the info. (the link is in my signature)

thank you, will do.
and you gotta understand. I have an oaksterdamn uni course book by seemore buds, 8 ozs for 100$ or less, great book. when using 9 cfls and a badass corralreef light like i am, it suggested you flower them at about 5 inches, and force them into maturity. because, with CFLs, even 9 of 'em, there's not enough light to penetrate the dense growth, and if you want dense, compact buds, that is what you do....if not, you can be left with stringy lighter weight buds.
so i forced them at 5 inches into flowering, like it says, and the growth is fantastic, and right on target, sativas ended up at about a foot to a foot and 4 inches, and the sativa is right at a foot and 10 inches, which is a tad taller than the book says those lights can sustain. Just FYI, thank you.
and thank you, you've shown up in almost all my threads and you're a good dude. I hope to share my knowledge one day, the knowledge i'm accumulating through intense research and reading..as well as outside opinions like you have with me. You're links, and posts have helped me alot too. Thank you.
P.S., i'm going to post pictures and a faq.

oh, and yes, thank you, but i know the trichromes are the purest indicator, but the hairs help to know a lil bit yaknow?...especially since i just purchased my jewelers lupe sp? today....but i under the phases the trichromes go through in color.
THANK YOU. :)

Although pistils are a sign of sexual maturity, they are not a usable sign of plant maturity.
