i have two SYLVANIA 120-Watt Reflector Flood Specialty Bulbs.
will this be enough for 1 plant?

if so how many plants can the light source contain.
also how far must they be from the plant?

some info: the light will be on each side of the plant (above)

Even though it is a (full spectrum) grow bulb, it put's out more heat than lumens. More heat means you must place it further from plant(s). Further from the plants, and you lose usable lumens. (the square inverse law for light) Would likely be better served getting some CFL's and a couple of 'Y' adapters.

No, it means you can't get the light(s) close enough to promote proper growth. It will still provide a few usable lumens, but you will never be pleased with the inadequate results.

But by all means...go ahead and try. You might want to start planning for proper lighting now though. And nutrients, and ventilation and circulation, and....

hmm.. well can you redirect me to some lights that are affordable and easy to get ??

for the money this is a great light to start out with. It will do 4-6 plants in a small area. Will create heat so a fan or ventilation will work. If you dont want to go this way cfl will do the trick. You can get 42 watt cfl 150 watt equivalent 2700k for flowering at the home depot for around 10 bucks a peice. You can get a clamp on light put a bulb splitter run 2 bulbs per fixture. 2 fixtures total of 4 bulbs will get you started costing around 50-60 bucks. for 30 more you can get th light and get great results...

Speaking from experience, no the grow spotlights are not the best at anything. They'll keep your plants alive, but they won't thrive. The point is, they are far from acceptable long-term.

23w CFL's come in 4 packs at Walmart. It's what many of us use for the growth phase. Some even change the bulbs to the proper spectrum, and flower with 'em too. Added bonus: CFL's actually promote growth, rather than promoting stretch and heat stress.

Likely a good idea to check the lighting section for more info.

I wasnt talking about the light he had, i ment the one in the link. Rusty is right it will stretch and stress. heres another option. I like the results 1 hps and 1 mh for entire grow, autoflower

the only problem i have with buying those lights ,is, im not really looking to spend all that money. I wanted some lights that could hold the plants and help them grow
