Clean way to add extra Co2?
I tried baking soda and vinegar in the past and it made a merry mess. :( Still, when growing with LED's you need :
- more heat
- more Co2
- less water
- less nutes
My current cabinet is much smaller- 2' X 1' X 4' 8". and has an active air intake (camouflaged by a kitty litter box) so...what's a clean, safe way to increase Co2 levels? Does it really matter for such a small grow (2 plants in a small cabinet)?

Well, this might sound crazy but at least your getting a reply:
Get a live full grown chicken.
Bring it to your pot spot.
Hold it firmly.
Squeeze the shit out of it, until it farts.
Congrats, you have now raised the CO2 level in the growing area :)
p.s. If you do happen to get shit out, use as fertilizer :)
Good Luck!

if its just 2 plants i would just make sure you have a lot of air moving in and out. co2 is beneficial but with only 2 plants, you are going to be paying a lot. easy way is getting a tank of co2 with regulator and timer. but if you wanted to do a cheaper way is dry ice. put it in a bucket and direct it to your intake. but it will cost a lot in the long run cause the constant exhaust will just suck it right out and you would have to keep buying dry ice. imo 2 plants will do fine without it, if you have good air flow

Prolly the cheapest and easiest is a gallon jug fermentation.
Fill the jug with water to the 3/4 mark, add 1 cup sugar, add 1 pkg yeast at room temperature.
Sugar + yeastbeasties = CO2 and Ethanol.
best to squish some tinfoil over the top to keep bacteria out.
The CO2 will be produced for about 30 days at a slow and steady pace and the gas density and positive pressure will keep the bad bugs out of the ferment.
(Too much CO2 is harmful to people and plants)
And It's a good idea to sterilize the jug and boil the water first.
But, if you no gonna drink him, Q n D work jus' fine.:rastasmoke:
Have fun with it.

Small world!
Did some beef brewing as well aroun' 2005.
It was a lot of work to do right.
Now, I brew surprisingly good wine from costco fruit juices, Hawaiian cane sugar, and D-47 champagne yeast.
Got an airlock on a 5g. fermentation bucket and use a long, 1/4" aquarium hose to pipe the CO2 to the bloomery.
Gives a good rate for a small area, ( 2' X 4'), for about 30 days.
Then I start another bucket.:D
Bottles of home-made Pomegranate-blueberry, wine make excellent gifts. :)
Aloha,
Winezard
