Newbie MMJ Card Question

1.) Is the Card Valid From State to State?(meaning if i got a card from NM it would work in cali and vice-versa)

2.) How often can you make marijuana purchases with the card...is there a limit?

3.) Would these conditions be enough of a reason for them to give me a card?:

Chronic Migraines
Slight depression
Nausea
Minor Insomnia
Anxiety
Panic Attacks
Random Spasms (not often)


4.) Is it free to get one? how much is it to renew?

5.) Is it Possible to have the Card Revoked?

6.) How long do you need to be resident of a state to get a card...6 months, a year?...do out of state college kids apply?

7.) Do you need Insurance to qualify? if not, does it affect the prices?

8.) I Assume i have to be diagnosed by a regular doctor, before i see a doctor about medical marijuana, am i right?

9.) Under 21 do you need a second opinion for the card ?

10.) Where do i get an application? and how much is the application?


As you can see i'm clueless about this, and i'm transferring to a school in a state where mmj use is allowed so i just want to know the basics about it

The card is only valid in new mexico.
You can purchase as often the have product there is a limit of what you can have in your possesion.

It takes as long as it takes for a doctor or in your case probably 2 due to chronic pain catagry which is what i personally fall under i have all the same symptoms as you except my headache is extremely severe all day everyday non stop for the past two plus years. It took me a while because i had to convinse my doctors i wasnt full of shit. Finding a doctor will be your hardest battle i think.
You dont have to have insurance but you will just have to pay out of pocket for your doctor appointments. Realistcaly any doctor or nurse practionar with the abilty to write a prescription is able to sign off on the paper work but alot of doctors i think are unaware or just not a supporter. Welcome to the battle it doesnt stop after you get the card.

Montana accepts people from other states with their ID it's the only state to do this.:thumbsup:
