newB bubbleclone success
I just tried my first attempt at cloning using recycled flower nutes,(started life 2 weeks ago as gh 3part, 0/2/3 formula) airstone and styrofoam cooler res with 1 cfl. Sat on heat mat on lo. 3" net pots w/ 75% verm 25% chipped red clay (red clay material similar to grow rocks but not expanded, for planted aqauriums). I put the clay on the bottom because it holds water well and would wick it up better, the soft, airy, vermiculite went on top to allow unrestricted growth of any new roots. Seems to have worked well.
Just did it because I hermed 2plants and suffered seriously reduced yield on the last of 3. Despite reading enough to know better, i was desperate to reproduce my surviving lady in mid flower. i took two of the youngest shoots even though they already had flowers on the end, stuck em in immediately, two weeks later have roots just peeping out of the pots!! Can't wait to get em started growing and about to take some more off one just started 12/12.
Moral of the long story is read up, but learn by trying.

It is easier to try than to prove it can not be done.
