TCF Bank To Close All Dispensary Bank Accounts

Findmypot.com has learned that TCF Bank will no longer accept medical marijuana dispensaries as bank customers and will close all dispensary accounts. Dispensary bank customers will be notified to close their account within 30 days. We called the Denver branch of TCF Bank and an employee disclosed that due to the â??large currency transactions involved with medical marijuana dispensaries, they would no longer continue to open new accounts and will close existing accounts. This issues seems to involve the bank secrecy act and cash transactions.

We believe that TCF Bank was the only bank in Colorado allowing medical marijuana business. Findmypot.com will let you know if any Credit Unions or other financial institutions will allow mmj business accounts.

Findmypot.com believes this will become a major problem for the medical marijuana industry. Therefore, we have placed a phone call to the Colorado Banking Commissioner who will research this issue and let us know what alternatives might be available.

sad to say it but i think alot of people have been in the shadows waiting for this bill to pass so they can either back out or have a reason to not deal with you.and if this bill passes just you wait you will see what these towns all over co have been waiting on as if they knew it was coming.:wtf: everyone knows whats coming but does'nt want to face it.everyone also knows what the only way to freedom really is but again also does'nt want to face it.pretty soon we will have no choice but to but by then it will take alot more than people want to believe will stop it...

btw even if this bill by some great chance gets shot down.they will have another one right behind it.they will not stop until they have all the money and control again.remember they think of us as nothing more than slaves to them..

we have wells fargo and they've been really really kind and good to us (obviously lol) but I know they aren't taking any more accounts unfortunately

I talked to wells, and they grandfathered a few in, but were worried about money laundering.
