Which candidates for Governor support the Medical Cannabis Program? They get my vote

Hi Everyone,

I have not seen any of the candidates position on the Medical Cannabis Program.

I would love to see folks post up any and all information related to this subject and how it relates to the candidates for Governor.

I for one, will have the Medical Cannabis Program at the top of my list of reasons on who to vote for.

i would also like to know this also. I have never voted before just becasue well i didnt care but i care now becasue my medication is on the line so please if anyone knows let us all know. There is over 2000 paitents and i am sure we will all vote for the person or people that support it.

I don't think we are quite at 2000 patients....YET....but that time will come soon. I am not sure how the numbering goes but I "think" I am 16XX in the patient count and I just got my card.

However, lets say a candidate was openly against the program....I believe there are a couple that lean that way....I sure as heck would NOT vote for that person because it affects me PERSONALLY!

Like I stated previously in this thread....this is MY NUMBER ONE issue...Period dot!

New Mexico Elections, New Mexico Candidates and Politics

I have been wondering about the issue myself and since medical cannabis was passed into law, wouldn't the next governor and state legislature have to pass laws to undo it if that's what they wanted? I'm wondering, what kind of power does the governor have over the DOH and the program (besides appointing people to head positions). Also, could the governor just cut funding to the program? Does anyone know?

I am about 3 months into the NM MCP & I dont keep up with politics But I would like to know IF there is a Candidate who supports MMJ Then I would actually Vote. Please let me Know

The only way to see who may be on the side of MCP is to ask. Ask their position on the issue and ask what their strategy on how to better it is.

Probably Denish,if anyone.

The absolute only thing I know about this election is that Allen Weh is a vietnam vet, and all my life I've heard stories about the sh*t they smoked in vietnam......so if nothing else he gets my vote on that fact alone, lol.

He probably hates cannabis now.
