Has anyone made canna butter yet? I am wanting to to try to make some caramels and i have never made canna butter. How much bud would i use for 1 cup of butter? I have done a search but they all are for making a large amount of butter i just need a lil bit. Any suggestions or help would be nice.

that recipe will work, but honestly you don't need to go through all that. I usually make larger batches in the crockpot using about 4lbs a butter at one time. If you are trying to do smaller batches, I would suggest using a quart size crockpot. I'm sure you could find one at target for $10-$15. You could probably do about 1lb of butter at a time in that.
Basically whatever about you need, here is a simple way to make canna butter...
melt butter in crockpot....pack with trim, stems...all the shit you wouldn't smoke....keep on high for about an hour while packing it down every 15 or so minutes. Turn it on low and let it slowly cook for about 12-18 hours. Strain all the leaves and plant material from the butter (press hard to get it all out). And voila....you've got cannabutter.
People will argue and say you need to use water....but I have been baking for several years and this technique has always works for me! My baked goods have quite the fan base!

Cool! I admit that I'm not an expert on cannabutter.
I mostly just smoke it and make honey oil.

the bennifit to the water method is you end up with ghee... clarified butter.. butter from the store has water in it, so when you clarify it you also purify it, making it a bit more concentrated. honey oil is made from packing a tube with trim or bud and flooding it with ether or butane filtering it at the end and catching in a pyrex dish.. make outdoors...
