Any point in a tolerance break past two weeks?

For the first time in my life, since 16 to now 21, ive managed to not smoke and delicious weed smoke for two weeks. It feels like it has been forever already. Do you think your tolerance continues to drop past this point? I mean id still fail a drug test for the next three weeks probably.

Is your tolerance back to true zero once your piss is clean?

Anyone got a scientific article about cannabis tolerance? We all know you need to take a break to get more stoned again but why? Weed isnt like other drugs like heroin where it makes you produce more dopamine so your body responds by producing less to be in homeostasis. Or is weed tolerance more about getting completely familiar with the sensation of being stoned everyday and its more like your just forgetting a little bit what it was like to be high?

I read somewhere it only takes two weeks for the cannabinoid receptors in your brain to cleanse themselves. The THC molecules stored in your fat cells (the stuff you piss out) has little to do with your tolerance.
