i am 5 weeks into growing my plants and have never really fertilized much yet. i want to give my plants a boost so i bought the fox farm trio pack. my plants are growing under 6 40 watt flour lights and on the 18/6 schedule. can anyone tell me which fert to start with and how much since i have never used it. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Which trio? The Tiger/Grow Big set or the Open Sesame and Cha-Ching set?

grow big, tiger bloom, big bloom, not sure since i missed 5 weeks where to start.
Are you growing in soil? That's the stuff I've used. Label directions are about right, I usta underfeed with it a tad. Basically, the Grow-big is for the veg (18/6) stage, and the Tiger stuff is for the 12/12 flower stage. I think Big Bloom is like an organic "tea" kinda thing, if I remember the labels right I think it replaces trace nutrients that are in the Fox Farm soils. It's much less concentrated, and is like an "extra" amendment. Not really necessary with those ferts, but if you got it, good. :thumbsup:
Start light, (with the GROW stuff) like 1/2 tsp per gallon. If you are over fertilizing, the very tips of the leaves will start to brown, so pay close attention to dat. Work up to the recommended, or whatever you dare, concentration. You can add some of the "tea" stuff whenever it makes you feel good, I think that's mostly what it's for...:wtf:
i am growing in soil. so i can mix 2 diff fertilizers in one gallon of water or do i switch it up? thanks
Yeah, they're made to work together but you can do it either way.
Follow their feeding schedule. (the link is in my signature) It breaks down your weekly schedule by...get this...weeks. If you are in week 5 of flowering, that's where you start. (9th week of the schedule)
In flower -
Big Bloom - 1 TBS per gallon of properly ph'd water.
Tiger Bloom - 2 tsp per gallon of properly ph'd water.
Big Bloom is a catalyst that adds to the size and strength of the plant.
Ph the water to about 6.8 or 6.9 ish. Add the proper ammount of Tiger Bloom, then add the proper ammount of Big Bloom. This will bring your ph down to near 6.3 ish. Do this once a week, you should be fine. (fresh, properly ph'd water inbetween feeding days, only if necessary)
The solubles don't apply since you don't have them. Not overly necessary anyway.
The Grow Big (for the growth stage) and the Tiger Bloom (for flowering stage) each have the necessary micronutrients so no additional micronutes are necessary.
what do you mean by properly ph'd water? this is my first grow. thanks
For best results, the water's pH should be slightly to very slightly acidic (7 being neutral).
Are you not advocating a flush for the last two weeks before harvest? Most recommend this to remove harsh flavors from the buds caused by the nutes. Did you not find this to be the case and therefore not necessary? Yes, this is a serious question not meant to be sarcastic. Thanks.
