Wondering if I qualify for medical marijuana?

Hey so I'm 20 years old and i'm curious if I qualify for mmj, I went to the doctor today and I was told that I have arthritis in my wrist. I broke my wrist 4 years ago and had 5 pins put in it for 10 weeks. Apart from the arthritis which has been causing me pain for about 8 months I apparently have some other issues that will need another surgery and another 3 pins. I am curious if I qualify and also if there is any chance of gerting it before my surgery? Thanks for any help/advice
