Dispensaries in LA--do you think the city is going pass legislation to close mmd's?

I saw Mike Lerner speak from Kush Magazine here in Denver and I've been reading the articles coming out of the LA times. I'm curious to know what are the MMD's hearing in LA. Is it too late to get this on the ballot for voting? Thanks
