A little help please?

I am new to all of this, and was hoping for a little help.
I've suffered from depression, anxiety, ocd, agoraphobia, back spasms and headaches for over 10 years. I've been on Social Security for my mental health issues for 6 years.
I've been smoking off and on for about 8 years, using it when my symptoms are really bad.
recently, a friend told me that it might be possible for me to get help, and pointed me to this forum.

My husband, has Hep C, headaches (has been on methadone for 5 years because all other treatment has failed. He does NOT go to a clinic, they are prescribed and he get's them from a pharmacy, a month at a time) bowel issues, arthritis and other joint issues.

We live in the Seattle area. I'm afraid to speak to our Primary doctor about it, because of how he'll look at us, should he not be of an understanding nature.

Can someone out there help?
I'm so lost in all of this it's crazy.

Look, talk to your primary. Chances are they will at least point you in the right direction. If not there are the clinics but you have to have the documentation, and it costs money. SS will not pay for that.

Your primary will say no based more on their fear of repraisal from the feds.

You're husband will easily qualify and you might be able to too. I would carefully talk to your doctor about the subject. Your husband maybe in a bit of a predicament though if he has to do routine drug tests for his prescription renewals. His doctor will need to be informed that he's going to try MMJ for pain management. He may not allow it so he will have to make a decision to try MMJ and give up his prescriptions or just stay the way it is. He should discuss it with his doctor first. Some of them are finally beginning to come around.

i to am on ssi for the last 18 years and on methodone for almost all the same issues your husband has except for the hep c im a diabetic with depression, anxiety joint pain back pain and diabetic neruopathy ect ect ect i to was afaraid to ask my doctor for fear of looseing my methadone and him looking at me crazy well i did it anyway he told me he wasnt so convinced of its uses for all the things stated and that he was afraid of getting in trouble, but if i found a doctor that would give it to me that was fine but at this time he wasnt comfortable doing it YET so i contacted the THC clinic and got my doctors notes for 6 months and sent them in and woopie i got my card and still see my original doctor and still get ALL MY MEDS every month i gave my doc a copy of my card and paper for my file and all is good, from what i understand is just get 3 months of your doctors side notes and a list of your meds like i did and send that with the paper work to the clinic and youll probably get accepted, thats my case anyway, good luck, if we cant talk to our docs about our health issues why do we have them its either a yes or a no ..:thumbsup:

What you just wrote shows you are not covered under the MUMA of washington state and THCF has just taken ur money just like they did too Sharon Tracy, Mr. Soper, James Barber Jr., Jason Fry all which had THCF authorizations and all have been convicted of manufacturing marijuana.

The statute says "UNRELIEVED BY MEDICINE AND STANDARD TREATMENTS."
Be careful in what you believe you think is the law or they at the clinics tell you what it is. Your pain meds and the mmj for pain also is not according too public policy or statute, legal to engage in. This is why most pain clinics cut mmj patients off of all controlled substances pain reliving effects, i.e. opiates...it is a criminal and ethical issue. Not to mention 69.50.308 specifically addresses validity.Just be more careful please.

The problem - for some - is that should a patient need to travel out of state (let's say) and they have a MMJ card, but also have a prescription for pain...they need to take the pain meds or be prepared to deal w/ interstate issues.
But you're correct, the THCF is NOT gospel.
In fact, from what I saw, they (THCF) errs on the side of acceptance and there's not too many things sillier than an over confident pot-head.
