MMJ and public record/medical record issues
Hi,
I'm considering getting a MMJ recommendation, (I reside in California), but I have some issues that I can't seem to find a straight answer on. I turn to you for help.
Here is my situation. I am married to a nurse who is not pot friendly. Unfortunately, I have back pain and sleep issues that pot helped with. I don't really like the side effects of the drugs that they're giving me, so I'd like to go back to marijuana. Unfortunately, my neighbor who sold moved away, so I now have no connection. I'm an older white male, so walking up to kids with dreadlocks and Bob Marley shirts and asking just isn't cool. Anyway, since my wife has 24/7 access to my medical file...
I don't know. I don't like doing things behind her back. Hell, I might have to though.
Also, I'm a gun owner, does being a MMJ cardholder affect my rights in that regard?
Finally, can my insurances (life, medical, car, etc) drop me? Would they ever know?

Did you try crying? Really! I mean it. You can't imagen how many times I have got my way by crying. I learned the technicue from George on the TV sitcom Seinfeld.
I tried it the first time when my girl friend wanted to move in. I really didn't want her to, so I broke down crying and sobbing about how I was unsure. How I was afrade of moving to fast, ect., ect., bla, bla. Then she was like, "Oh poor baby! We don't have to move together right now. We can wait". I couldn't believe it really worked, and I got all that sympathy, hugs, kisses and other things (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), to boot.
Here is a link to Seinfeld Season 7 Episode 2 The Postponement. The part where George gets his way by crying starts about the 14 min. mark. Learn from the master.

Give it a try and tell us how it goes.

Going legal would definitely be the safest way to go.
Legal MMJ authorization will not effect your gun ownership rights but if you weren't legal it might.
If you have to take an insurance medical exam be sure to always sub with synthetic urine. If they want a blood test just stop smoking for 3 days and you're fine.

>crying might work with the wife, but I don't think my insurance or the California DOJ or the BATFE will be swayed. If only it were that easy:)
>Right. But the thing is, if I get a MMJ recommendation, does it go in my medical record somewhere? Will my insurance provider find out? Does this become a matter of public record somehow? Let's just say I'm afraid that this will come around and bite me in the ass somehow. It's not like the government is known for being reliable and consistent. I mean, let's just say that prop 215 is repealed, and the records on MMJ patients are made public somehow.....
Do they keep records at the state level, or only the doctors? And do the doctors share info with your primary care provider?
