Moving plants to darkness ?

On my second grow I tried to germinate about ten seeds from my early grow.
It was a top 44 strain and I pollinated my best looking girl with my most vigorous male´s pollen ( romantic !!).

The set up is a cabinet of 3.66 sq.feet, a 20.500 lum 250w MH lamp and a 33.500 lum HPS bulb standing by.

Four of the seeds germinated on the second day and were put in soil and started growing boldly a few days later.

Other five seeds took a lot longer to germinate and seemed to grow slower at first. One seed did not germinate at all.

After two weeks there are four plants at about 6-7 inch. And another five at 2-3 inch.

With only one grow place and one lamp my plan is to move the taller four ( when 8-10 inch tall ) to another room of darkness for 12 h and then back to 12 h of light and so on , giving the smaller ones a chance to grow equally.

When the smaller ones reach flowering height , I´ll put in the HPS bulb and start 12/12 in the cabinet.

What do you think ? Will this cause stress for the moving plants or do they just like it a little rough ???

Moving your plants around manually has some disadvantages, but some can come out of it. Shaking the plant around gently everyday will strengthen the stems quite a bit. Normally the circulation fan does an alright job of this, but more can never hurt.

However, moving your plants around every day you do run the risk of accidentally breaking a branch, not moving the plants at the same time every day, or dropping one of them... all of which your plants could recover from. but who wants any of that?

Just be really careful and everything should be fine :thumbsup:

The little plants should catch up eventually so I wouldn't mess with them. Also, manually manipulating light and time is a huge pain you'll be sorry you started.
At this point shouldn't they be in 18-6 or 24hr light cycle for vegging?

All plants are at 24 h now . I´m just starting flowering for the taller ones while the smaller keep vegging.:wtf:

Thoson, i agree with the above posts but also believe that 24/7 light is actually a little over the top as the plants do need some time to 'rest'.
Ive gone 24/7 and 18/6 and really dont notice any real difference and the lights quite expensive being on constantly. :thumbsup:
