What is your experience level? (first timer, novice, experienced...) First timer

Your Equipment:

.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? yep, both of 'em
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? 150 watt, dont know for kelvin rating, 18 on / 6 off

Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...) Its a soiless mix containing peat moss, vermiculite, perlite and lime (for ph I guess)
.8) Size of container. 6 inch pot
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? yes I did

Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? tap but I let it rest for at least 24 hours before using
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) hmm... none
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...) same as above
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. I only applied some B1 complex, because the guy at the grow shop told me to put some as it suppose to help rooting young plant
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? I'm watering about each 2 or 3 days, when the soil is dry enought

18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? I mist my plant during the night cycle each 3 day or so

Too far from the plants, unless there's a ventilation issue. I keep my 1000 watt HPS at 24 inches. You should be within a foot or so for a 150w, I believe. Use the back of your hand to gauge how close plants should be. If it's too warm for your hand, it's too warm for the plants. Got a fan on 'em and proper ventilation?

You're going to want to get a freshwater aquarium ph test kit, or a ph pen. Worth every penny of the investment.

Quit listening to this joker, as it seems he sees dollar signs when you walk in.
B-1 (and Superthrive-type products) are unnecessary, and is likely stressing out your already stressed plants. I stopped using the stuff a long time ago. Look in my signature for the link to a Myths and Folklore thread. Some interesting and informative reading there. :thumbsup:

There are minimum steps a gardener MUST take to bring cannabis to harvest. Knowing your ph, proper nutrients, lighting, potting soils...all stuff you'll need to know, or your plants will will never thrive. Hit the grow logs, and hit 'em hard. There's nothing better than learning from the hard work of others. :jointsmile:

i had T-5 CFL's with a 150w HPS to get good growth.....150 HPS bulbs are just standard bulbs and not really made with horticulture in mind...so i would look at adding some cfl's to increase your lighting spectrum.

get some good soil like fox farm....the stuff you have looks like it will hold water and not drain well...aeration in the soil is needed to get good root structure!

I had put them 24 inches away because its their first week under that light, if I use my hand as an ''indicator'' i should be able to place them about 8 inches away. I do have proprer ventilation anyway, in fact i'm a little bit over kill with my ventilation system, but some people told me there is never too much ventilation.

Do you have a fan blowing directly on them?

If so, I know that can cause leaf damage simply by drying them out.

Try bouncing the air movement around instead of having it directly on the plants. :jointsmile:

I start to see purple stem, could it be a N deficiency?

I indeed have a fan blowing right on them, i just raised it so it dont blow directly on them.

I'm also going to buy a ph meter so i can see if there is some issue there too, but I have a little question; if i buy ph down, will the one that my pet shop sell will do? or I need some specially made for plants?

Best to use something specifically formulated for plants.
The air movement strengthens stems and promotes transpiration. It hits the stomata with additional CO2. Stomata are the little pores on the leaf. Kinda like a mouth that allows gases like oxygen, CO2 and water vapor to enter and leave the plant.

If it's not an oscillating fan, ok not to keep it directly on the plant 24/7. Would risk wind burn. If it is an oscillating fan, let the air sweep back and forth directly on the plants. (lowest setting when young)

The shot from above the plant looks great.

As it's not oscillating I just redirected the air flow just above the plant, they just get a little bit of movement on the top leaves.

Just tested the PH of the water that I'm using and I read just about 7.

I'm thinking adding some ph-down to get a nice 6.5 - 6.7 should be better i think, I'm also gonna add my first shot of vegging fertilizer tonight. I'll add about 1/4 of the dose.

What do you think about that?

I'd keep it at 7, and feel very comfortable. Most nutrients are acidic so will likely pull the ph down to near the range you are looking for. Ph is a range, not a specific number. But try not to let the ph sway out of control. :thumbsup:
