AWESOME! Do you know anyone who has sat in on that meeting before? Is there a patient's group that is going to be there?

Thanks for the information nmmeds.....
From the PDF here are some of the specifics the state will require to petition:
Quote:
1. The name, address and telephone number of the petitioner and the medical condition, medical treatment or disease sought to be added to the existing debilitating medical conditions;
2. An introductory narrative requesting the inclusion of a new medical condition, medical treatment or disease
3. Credible published studies that show the proposed benefits from the medical use of cannabis specific to the medical condition, medical treatment or disease sought to be added to the existing debilitating medical conditions
4. Medical records from the petitioner which are relevant to the condition, treatment or disease sought to be added to the list of eligible conditions for enrollment
5. A copy of the petitionerâ??s New Mexico driverâ??s license or comparable New Mexico state or federal issued photo identification card verifying New Mexico residence.
I was curious in statement 3 about "credible published studies....", just curious what the state would constitute these....

Check out "Granny Storm Crow's MMJ Reference List" for hundreds of links to MMJ studies- mostly from reliable sources like PubMed, WebMD, and various medical journals. There are also news articles about some of the studies to give you the basic facts. PubMed is where your doctor gets his info- ought to be good enough for them!
I think it would be great if all you folks in NM would see if your condition is in my list. Diabetes, arthritis, fibro, osteoporosis, migraines, nausea, epilepsy, Crohn's/IBS, atherosclorosis, dystonia, and so much more!
I did the searching- you guys get to send them in! :thumbsup:

Thanks Granny....I have had your list for a bit now and have been compiling data!
You have it right, 100%, if people do not bring these to the attention of lawmakers, then NOTHING will get changed!:thumbsup:
I will place a call into the DOH this week and see if they will let me know what their definition of "credible" means.....
